Hiatus

My artistic side has decided to take a hiatus, with no real end in sight. The most I've done in recent months is worked on a cap or two for my Caps for Cancer cause, but even that was months ago. Not exactly sure as to the rhyme or reason - perhaps I have just lost the link I had with my writing and need to seek another method of expression. Evolution of the mind. Who knows? What I do know is that I am hoping to be coming back, one day. I still check in from time to time to at least keep up to date with everyone and their artistic endeavors.

For many years, I have enjoyed the art of crochet; however, I have disliked the amount of projects that lack homes (save my own). In the past year, I have researched ways to put my passion for weaving yarn to good use. I have finally found it! A lady in Maryland has a non-profit group she calls Head Huggers. She collects newly crocheted, knitted, and sewn hats to donate to individual who suffer hair loss due to chemo therapy, burn injuries, brain surgery, etc. Since I found her site, I have been able to donate a hefty chunk of hats to her cause. No Time

For much at the moment! My eldest, who has joined the ranks of artistic deviants (check him out here ---->http://sylverrayven.deviantart.com/), is now in high school. He's also in marching band and taken on his first job. My eldest daughter is now in middle school and has joined the choir and drama club. After being semi-retired for ten years, I've re-joined the working force, and obtained, not one, but three jobs to (hopefully) pull us out of the devastation we call not-quite-poverty economy.
